Neither rain, wind or snow could stop us from serving nearly 800 meals to community members on Christmas Day. Prepared by our friends at the Buffalo Jump, Laura Higgins and Annie Konner Higgins, the meals featured turkey and all the fixings – stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and roasted carrots. Dessert – a variety of cookies – was provided by our friends at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation.
In addition to providing meals to the public, we served meals to the Barnstable County Sheriffs Department, the Falmouth Police Department, the Falmouth Fire Department, Belonging to Each Other, and several shelters. The Massachusetts Military Support Foundation lent us a refrigerated truck.
Over 40 volunteers from the church and the wider community helped during the day. It truly takes a village!

Rev. Nell parks the refrigerated truck in the church parking lot. “It was so much fun driving this rig,” she said.
