Tret Fure in Concert Saturday, Oct. 11
Tret Fure will share her songs of kindness and compassion at the Waquoit Congregational Church on Saturday, October 28, at 7 PM. The show is free and open to all.
For the concert, Ms. Fure will perform songs from throughout her career.
Ms. Fure recently won the 2023 Phil Ochs Award in recognition of her music and activism for social and political justice. The award is just one in a long list of awards and achievements Ms. Fure has accrued, including being a finalist in 2022 in the USA Songwriting Competition with her song, “Home You Go,” and being the second-place winner in 2021’s A Still Small Voice 4U songwriting competition with her song “Louder Than the Guns.”
Based in Virginia, Ms. Fure has toured the Cape in the past, mostly performing in Provincetown and Harwich. The Oct. 11 concert is an opportunity for Upper Cape residents to connect with the artist and her music.
Ms. Fure said she is looking forward to not only performing, on October 11, but also to being part of the Waquoit Congregational Church’s Sunday service the next morning.
The Waquoit Congregational Church is at the corner of Parsons Lane and Route 28 in Waquoit. Donations of new and gently used winter coast gratefully accepted.
