Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Services
Experience Holy Week at the Waquoit Congregational Church. The services begin Thursday, March 28 at 7 pm with a Service of Tenebrae (shadows) that includes readings of Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, trial, and crucifixion. The candle lights are extinguished after each reading. The service includes communion.
The next day, Friday, April 8, there will be a Good Friday service at 12 noon. The service is held with the North Falmouth Congregational Church in our sanctuary. It focuses on the Seven Last Words of Christ.
Easter will be celebrated Sunday, March 31 at a 6 am sunrise service at the Waquoit Bay Reserve, and at 10 am in the sanctuary. There will be special music and communion at both services.
Everyone is invited to attend Holy Week services. The Waquoit Congregational Church is located at 15 Parsons Lane in Waquoit. For more information, call the church office at 508-548-5469.
